He invites the young man to a party at the local bar, where he'll be able to meet up with his new buddy. The narrator is all, "Gee, I wish I could have a drink with this guy." The young man says, "Sure, I'll go out after work and hang out with you, but I'm not into the idea of hanging out with a guy who's already married to someone I don't know." The narrator doesn't want to get into a fight, so he leaves.
