In this short scene, Mina explains that she has become a "blessed maiden" . She tells us that she is the one who brought the medicine that saved her from drowning. She asks why the doctor is allowing a "repulsive sorcerer" to live in the village. Mina asks him to leave the medicine, but he refuses, saying that it seems like they are now that Mina has gotten hers, and that they want to leave. He tells her that he is acting crazy because she only cares about him. He shows her the place where the "sorcerer of light" was supposedly sighted. He explains that he has been making portals for the light to be sighted, but that he will need more charcoal in a year.
