In this chapter, we are introduced to a number of characters, each of whom is trying to make sense of the events of the previous chapter. The first person we meet is Akira, who is trying desperately to figure out what has happened to her. She tries to reason with her husband, but he is unable to give her a straight answer. She tells him that she was saved by him, and that it is her turn to save him.
