The next morning, David and Erika go to bed, and David asks Erika what she's doing there. She tells him that she wants to dye her shirt red so that it'll look like a meteor shower. Erika tells David that she doesn't want to go to the shower because her stomach is bothering her, but David says he'll stay and watch the meteors from his bed.
