In this chapter, we learn that the new secretary at the hotel where the company is located has been working for the company for less than a year. She has been assigned to a hotel in the southeast part of town, but the company does not allow her to move to a different hotel until she has worked for them for a while. The new secretary, however, has a boyfriend who will help her find a new job. The two of them go for a ride in a new car, and the new employee compliments the car for its smooth ride.
