In this short scene, we learn that we're about to find out what's really going on between the two of them. We're told that they're both in love with each other, and that the only thing that keeps them apart is their love for each other's company. We learn that the brothel is owned by the same company as the brothel in which they've been spending their money, and so the two are in the same business. We also learn that, as a result, the brothel's affiliates are the same brothels that the two brothels have been spending money on. This means that, since the brothel and the brothel are both in business the same way, they can't be very different from one another.
