In this short scene, Mr. Furukawa apologizes to Mr. Manette for not being able to give her the two gifts he had planned to give. He also apologizes for being the one who had to send the notice about the separation. He says that because of his weakness, he ended up isolated. He tells Manette that he has his family to support him, and that he will be fine. He adds that if he were to just throw away all the important things that he taught him, then he would not know how to be happy. He then says that he would spend every day "confused" and would not be able to learn how to live. He thanks furukawa for the gift of the mini, and says that since the conversation is done, it is time to enjoy it. He thinks that when he and Manette go to see them again, they will see that they are really happy.
