In this chapter, we're introduced to Dolo's "fate capsule" , a device that allows people to "store and reconstruct memories" . In other words, Dolo is a person who is obsessed with his destiny. He's obsessed with the fact that he's in love with a girl who's just graduated from high school. The girl is a student at a school called "nangao," which means "high school" in Chinese. We're also introduced to the school's student body, which is made up of students from all over the country. The student body is divided into three groups: 1) students who are good looking, 2) students who have good intelligence, and 3) students who aren't good looking at all. The first group consists of those who are pretty and smart, while the second group is for those who don't have any intelligence at all and just want to "be popular." The third group consists mostly of students who just want "to be popular." Dolo asks the student body if he wants to be popular like the girl in the first group, or if he just wants to "stand beside him if he enters the same circle."
