The chapter opens with a flashback to the day of the accident. It's the day after the accident, and Hiroyuki has just returned home from the hospital. He's a bit dazed, but he thanks Hiroyuki for looking after him. Hiroyuki tells him that he's looking a lot better, but that he still has a lot of work to do. He tells Hiroyuki that he can't remember what he was doing at the time of the crash, and that it's just a matter of time before he gets sick again. He asks Hiroyuki to make sure that he doesn't get sick again in the morning, and then Hiroyuki thanks him for waiting.
