The next morning, Mr. Nakajima comes to pick up his son. He tells the boy that he's been having a good time, but that it's time for him to leave. The boy, however, is not having any of it. He's having a hard time accepting that his father has left him in the care of a stranger. The child is so upset that he starts to cry, and the father, who's already in the middle of a conversation with the boy, comes out of his hiding place and tries to calm him down. The father tells him that the boy is having a great time, and that he can't believe that his son is leaving him in such a bad way. He also tells the child not to worry about what happened the night before, because he'll make him something to eat for breakfast the next morning. The little boy is all, "Oh, yeah, I'm so glad that you took such good care of me the day before. I was totally drunk and I wish I had someone who would make me a nutritious meal every morning." The father, though, doesn't want to hear this, so he tells the little boy to whisper to himself that it was a good thing that he took care of him that day, and then he promises to make the boy something he likes for breakfast that night. When the child realizes that this is just a lie, he starts crying again.
