The chapter opens with the two of them holding hands tightly. They're going to watch the sunset, and then they'll get married. The narrator tells us that he'll marry her when he grows up, so that she won't be bullied by her friends anymore. He's not going to marry her now, he says, because he's going to grow up and marry someone else. But he promises that when they're old enough to get married, he will make sure that they don't bully each other again.
