The next morning, the editor tells the staff that he's not feeling well. He's feeling sick, he says, because of the editorial. He wants to go home and get some sleep, but he can't sleep because he has to write the next day's story. The editor asks if he can borrow one of the men's docu-ments, and the guy says he'll do it. The next day, he asks if the editor is feeling well, and he says he is. He asks if they've been talking about the editorial, and they tell him that they were talking about it. He says he doesn't know what's going on, but that they're always getting carried away with their first-page stories, and that it would be a good idea to split the story up a little bit. He tells the editor that if he wants to beat the editor, he should face him "fair and square" .
