In this chapter, we learn more about Alek's plan to destroy the city of Atlantis. Alek tells us that he's organized everything exactly as he was told. He's convinced that it's a city on the coast of Africa, and he wants Alek to believe him. He tells Alek that he found traces of narcotics in his blood, but he doesn't know how to explain it to Alek. He wants him to believe that he is a scientist, and that he has seen the city. Alek is afraid that Alek will not believe him, and so he tells him that they've been sent to find the city by the military. Alek says that he can't open the door to the city because he thinks it is either closed or open. He also says that the military has sent a sub to look for the island because Alek had a vision of it. The island Alek has seen is some distance west of Africa's north African coast. He says that there is no news of his daughter either. The scientific team has just taken off to find Alek. They'll be able to see him in two hours. Alek wants to know why he didn't blow up the city, and why he hasn't told him about the peace process.
