Back at home, the narrator is mopey because he's worried about what's going to happen to eunjoo now that she's back in the States. He's also worried about how he'll look at her when she comes home, because he doesn't want to look like a total creep. The narrator is also worried that he might lose his job because of his worries. He wonders if he might be able to get a job as a cab driver, which would be a nice way to earn some money.
