In this chapter, we learn that the professor of sociology at the university is Professor Hwang-anna, the "official goddess" of the sociology department. We learn that she is the daughter of the chairman of the university's board of trustees and that her husband is a member of the "chairman's son" gang. We also learn that this gang is planning to poison the professor.
