The Governess realizes that she cannot rely on her for advice. She is ashamed of her inadequacies as an editor. She tells the Governess that she has come to inspect her manuscript. She asks him to look at the red marks on the page. He says that he thinks the scene is refreshing. He tells her that she can re-work the chapter after this section to make sure that her manuscript is perfect. He also tells her to note down what she did well in the chapter. He then gives her the opportunity to kiss her. She says that she wants to be the one to kiss him. He asks her to rub his fingers through her nipples. She replies that she does not want him to touch her. He kisses her and she moans. He slips a finger inside her, and she trembles as he touches her.
