The narrator decides to buy a coffee shop. He wants to be like the owner, who drinks a "love potion" and "goes wild" on his customers. The narrator tells us that he was the first customer at the coffee shop when it opened three years ago. He says that he loves the smell of coffee, but he can't drink enough to enjoy it. He's also a big fan of black tea, so he'd like to drink milk and coffee drinks for kids. But, he says, he can only drink half of the coffee that the owner gives him. One day, he tries a different kind of coffee. It's a "gentler" coffee, and he's so happy with it that he keeps coming back for more.
