In this chapter, we are introduced to the protagonist, a young man named nico , who is a fan of "robots" and "love" . He is also a lover of "ba-dump" , or "dump" in Japanese. nico asks his friend, the protagonist's wife, to take him to a cafe where he can "drink a love done." nico then asks the protagonist to describe the cafe to him, and the protagonist responds by describing the cafe as "superty" with too many seats, too many customers, and too little profit. The protagonist leaves the cafe and returns to nico.
