In this chapter, we are introduced to a young man named clack, who is in love with a woman named maoka. He asks maoka to help him find the woman who sold him a love potion. When maoka tells him that the potion was made by an elderly woman, clack says that it could have been poison. He then goes to the woman's store to find out more about the potion and how to remove it from his system.
