In this chapter, the young master tells his brother-in-law that he wants to leave immediately, but that he must first recover his powers. The young master then tells the other two to write down the names of every member of the clan, their relationship to him, their position within the clan and the secrets they know. The younger master tells the two to go to his room and check out anything suspicious. The elder master then asks the younger master to knock on the door of the third master and ask him to exchange the medicine vials with the silver taels. The older master tells him to bring all of the vials back to him. The youngest master is insulted by the older master's rudeness, and the elder master curses him for being a worthless trash.
