About This Chapter
The clanking vice-president is waiting for his father, who is waiting in the hall. The vice president kneels before his father and demands to know why he is acting the way he is. He tells his father that he is afraid of knowing the truth and that he will ruin the empire that he has so much invested in. He says that his father has called him the biggest mistake of his life, even though he is his son, and he begs his father to let him go. He goes on to say that he heard that he was the son of a mistress, and that it is even worse since he is human. He promises to be on his father's side even if his father does something wrong, and says that if he refuses to acknowledge him, then he will make him acknowledge himself. He asks his father if he has been quiet these days, and his father says that he does not mind gossip. He then asks Troy how he has solved the blood problem, and Troy replies that he thought he had gone earlier, but he suddenly wanted some fresh air, so he went on a date
