The rain continues to fall, and so does the conversation between Sohye and Yon. Yon is angry, and Yon scolds her for being so careless with strangers. Yon tells her that she is not her lover, and she says that it is not like she is her boyfriend. Yon says that she has no right to talk to him about that, and he says that he could be a stranger. Yon's grandmother comes out of the mud pit and asks Yon to come over and drink her granddaughter's milk. Yon thanks her for the food, and the grandmother thinks that Yon has disappeared again.
