"Beyond Another Heaven" opens with the narrator lamenting that he has lost his way in the construction of the train station. He asks the Governess to take him for a bite to eat. The Governess tells him that she has reached the part of the di-mensional gate, where the monkey and human worlds are accessible to each other. She says that if they use the gate, they will be able to get there in half the time it took them to get to the gate fifty years ago. She tells him about the hot young man who was staring at her. The narrator says that he is right because he has both ears, but that it is not unusual to see people who have both ears in his school. He says that the girls in the school were staring at him because he had both ears right. He tells her that he was not to be jealous because he was just getting to Tomo's house. He then tells her about his uncle, who is coming back from a trip to the Mediterranean Sea. He and Tomo are going to spend their last days together on a ship, and he says that they would like to do so on the same side of the world as they did in the past. He wonders if he could wait to see her, even if he felt like he could not see her. She replies that she can wait as long as she loves him. She asks him if she could just "ruffle ruffle wah" . He agrees that she could wait, but he wonders if she would just do that one day.
