The next morning, the narrator wakes up in the middle of the night. He's thirsty and wants to drink some beer. He wants to thank the narrator for buying him a drink, but he's afraid that the beer is too "sloppy" . He doesn't want anyone to know that he has an "allergic" reaction to alcohol. He tells the narrator that he didn't tell anyone about his condition, but that he'll continue his investigation into the "phantom tribe" if the narrator won't stop harassing him. The narrator says that he can't help the narrator, even though it means putting his life in danger. He begs the narrator to sit down and talk. The cat can talk, but the narrator's back is so "itchy" that it's hard to get him to talk. He asks the cat to tell him what's going on with the phantom tribe, and the cat says that the one who appeared on the subway is a "super fighter" and that the other one is a sophomore. He says that they're both super fighters, and that they haven't returned yet, so it would be nice if they had someone else to help. He also says that since the store is going out of business, they'll have to hire another assistant. He adds that the two other employees haven
