The scene opens with a flashback to the events of the previous chapter, in which the young knight, Nemo, tries to escape from the clutches of his master, the villainous Desdemona, who is trying to kill him. The young knight tries to throw the garbage into the river, but the Desdemonas catch him and throw him back into the water. Nemo is horrified at the sight of the young man throwing the garbage in the river. He tries to get Nemo to eat the food, but Nemo refuses, saying that it is his job as a knight to protect his master.
