The chapter opens with the sound of a sewing machine. It's the day of a fashion fair, and the exhibitors are making new pieces for the public to buy. Everyone is excited to see all the new pieces, and they're all in cute little outfits. The narrator is all, "Ooh, that's so cute." He's a little worried about how he's going to look in front of all these people, but the narrator reassures him that he'll be fine. He asks the exhibitor if he'd like to try one of his new pieces on. The exhibitor tells him that it's too plain for him, but that he can wear it with his current outfit. He says that he doesn't have the courage to wear the shirt, though, because he feels like it makes him look "slimmer." The narrator says that every brand has a special way of paying special attention to its products. The more he sees, the more he finds that "every single piece" conveys the hopes and desires of the consumer. He thinks that this brand is "like a whole world" on its own, and that he wants to be the "one who gave others that same heart" .
