The Governess tells her servant not to be too embarrassed about what she has done. She tells him not to stare at her like that. She says she has no idea what the Governess is up to. She has done everything she could to hide it, but she has not seen anyone yet. She is glad that she can confront her, because she thinks that her mother will be watching her every move.
