He says that he can never resist because he is the one that provokes his obsession. And now, he says, it's been three months since the incident, and it still creeps him out every time he sees those eyes. He asks if she's okay, and she says that she is, but that she'll be okay if he only stays with her. The narrator says he just wanted her to be happy.
