In this chapter, we learn more about Lu's life. He's studying at a hospital in the U.S., and he's worried about what's going on with his friend, the vice president, and his son-in-law, the president of the United States. The vice president is on his way back from a business trip, and the president wants to talk to him. He wants to know how they're doing, and how he can help them. The president tells him that he needs a private detective to help him find out what the vice-president is up to. The private detective will be able to find out more about the vice presidency's activities, and then he can tell the president what to do about it.
