About This Chapter
The ship's captain asks if the pirates know where they're headed. Jaemon replies that they don't. He's waiting for his master, who's still on the island. He tells Jaemon that he's decided to go face his final battle on the battlefield, just like they did 2,000 years ago. He asks Jaemon to bring his lady back to the ship so that they can set aside their differences. He also tells her that she's a beautiful woman and that she would be a great boon to him. He doesn't know if his enemy is a man or a woman, but he hopes that they kill him before he kills them. He begs Jaemon not to scare him, but to sail to their station and drop off the men at their appointed positions. He wants to know what's going on, but Jaemon tells him that the men are indestructible and that he should use his magic to get them out of this mess. He and Jaemon decide to circle the island and wait until morning to dock. They'll try to avoid breaking the ship, but they'll risk it anyway. They can't forget Jaemon's presence, he tells them, and they've got something to show him.
