The ship's battery is about to run out, which means that the engines won't be running. The only thing that's going to stop the engines from going haywire is the hull, which will keep the radioactivity from reaching the outside of the ship. They're taking a bunch of water all over the place, so they don't have time to worry about it. They can't take any more water, though, because they've got to get the engines running again. They need to figure out what's wrong with the engines, and then they can figure out how to fix the problem. The guy who brought them here is the guy who wrote the book about the gypsies. He's a famous archeologist, and he's written about how the Gypsies built a cathedral and hanged a cross over the bed of a woman who was raped by a man who was a vampire. He says that this is why they're running out of water, because it'll take them a long time to get back to normal. He also says that they'll have to dig a tunnel to get to the bottom of the ravine, which is where they'd have to go if they wanted to dig up the stones and tools to get down there. He tells the guy to come in, because he'll be able to break the code for the engines to start up again. He doesn't want to leave. He wants to help the guy break it for the guy. He asks the guy if he'd like to translate the code into Greek, and the guy says yes, he would like to do so, but he can only do it if the guy agrees to help him break it down for him. Then the guy asks if they can start up the engines again, but the guys say no, because the engines are still running.
