About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn that the dengue epidemic is out of control, and that the only way to stop it is to find a cure. The only solution, according to the professor, is to turn the epidemic into a profitable business. He suggests that they sell the dengue vaccine at a high price to those who can afford it. The director of the vaccine, however, is murdered, and he is now under the control of the professor. The professor wonders if this is a good story, but he doesn't think it will change the fact that they'll soon be screwed. The mosquito men, the nosy reporters, and the nosy cops, he says, are all part of the problem, and they're all ready to be dealt with. He wonders if there's a way to control the mosquitos without driving them away, but the professor points out that he can do it by summoning them. He says that he's been told that there is a cure for the disease, but that he hasn't seen it. He still deserves punishment for killing a man, and now that the mission has been a total waste of time, he decides to take revenge.
