The narrator rides on the back of his brother's horse and wonders what's going on. He wonders if he's supposed to go to a shipwreck, or if it's okay to go inside a cave. He's also wondering if the door is open, and he wonders if there's a wall of pearls around the door. He wants to know where they're going, but he can't find the answer. He asks the family where they are, and they tell him that they are going to the beach. The narrator wishes he could go back to his family, but that's just not possible.
