It's almost springtime, and the sun is shining brightly on the leaves of a home tree. It looks like a chipmunk is back at the hollow, fluttering like a butterfly. He's wondering if he can play with a fish, or a turtle, or even a beaver. He wants to know if the fish will want to swim with him, or if the turtles are friendly. He asks if they're hiding, and they all seem to be avoiding him. He wonders if he could swim with them for a bit, and when he sees that they are all hiding, he wonders if they are hiding alive. He also wonders if there's something in the water that he can do to get out of there. The water fairy tells him that he's not leaving until he is free, and he'll get him out when he is. The fairy asks him to climb on her back, and she says that's what he should do.
