In this chapter, we learn that the narrator is an inquisitive demon named "zaryos" who is trying to find a way to stop hearing the girl's cries. He wants to be able to track the supernatural energy of the girl, and he wants to know how he can do this. The narrator has no idea how to say this, but he does know that he has no money. He also knows that he cannot have as much money as he wants because his budget has a maximum limitation.
