In this chapter, we learn that a man named Zaryos bought his wife a clock, thinking it would be proof of their eternal vow. When the wife found out about her husband's affair, she committed suicide, and the clock absorbed all of her negative energy and turned her soul into a demon. The clock was banished to hell. The narrator then tells us that he is bored of eating unhappy times, and that once he is in heaven, he will eat lots of happy times instead. Amira asks the narrator if the demon and the angel are together, and he replies that they are not. He then tells her that he will find her husband and take him to heaven.
