This chapter opens with a soliloquy by Alexa, in which she tells the audience that she is madly in love with Emily and wishes that their wedding day would soon come. She tells Alexa that she has heard that the demon is strong and that it would be a pain to fight him. Alexa asks if the angels can do anything against the demon, and Alexa says that it's their duty to do so. Alexa wants to know why the demon only chooses couples who are about to get married, and she wonders why he doesn't pick up on the fact that the couple was rejected by their crush. She asks Alexa to give the demon earrings so that he won't recognize her. Alexa gives the earrings to the demon and tells him that she needs his authority over the demon. She also asks him to stop ignoring angelikary.
