In this chapter, we learn that Hiroyuki has been unable to return to work because he is so drunk. He tells his wife that he will not be able to go back to work, but she assures him that she will take care of him. She also tells him that he should not worry about what will happen to him if he does not return. She tells him not to worry about it, as he will be fine if he can get back to his job. Hiroyuki tells her that he has taken two days off from work, and she slaps him for it. He apologizes for taking so long off, saying that everything is fine. She asks him what is wrong with him, and he says that it is obvious that he is in love with someone else. She says that she knows a great bar, and that she would like to be part of the whole thing as well. He asks her to tell him about how she took him home for a night stand, and how she asked him for help, even though she knew that he did not want to. He says that he thought it was a good idea, but he wonders if he will get angry, and asks her not to get too drunk, as she is too big to carry him home. She replies that he told her that there was someone he liked, and also that he was the "on sanii" in his life. She then asks him to stop making the face when she is looking at him.
