He tells Hiroshi that his beauty isn't just about makeup and clothes, but also about how he acts, how he speaks, and how he looks. He says that if you want beauty, you've got to spend time and effort on yourself. In other words, you have to be very good at what you do, because you'll never get it if you just do what everyone else does. He's not just talking about makeup, though, he says: "beauty" is about how you act, how you speak, and even how you look. If you want to be beautiful, you need to spend a lot of time and energy on yourself, because otherwise, you won't be beautiful at all.
