The chapter opens with a description of the sold-out show at the Superdome in New Orleans. The narrator tells us that it's filled to the brim with people, and that everyone's exhausted after a long day of touring. He says that he's not sure how ai is able to get on stage without Jen. He asks lissa if she knows anything about her, and she says that she doesn't. He tells her that the rumors about him are false, and asks her to forgive him and everyone else so that his hate for Jen can return to his love. He then tells tess to knock on the door of the guy in question, and he'll let the cops know if he slips. He also tells her to double check the seats below the stage for weapons, and to make sure that she's carrying her weapons with her.
