In this chapter, we are introduced to a number of characters who are introduced for the first time in the novel. For example, in Chapter 3, we learn that Dr. Manette has decided to get married. He is also introduced to the concept of the "Omegaverse" , which is a system of predicting future events and predicting people's behavior. He also introduces us to some of the characters who will be introduced in the following chapters.
