Chapter 9 opens with a flashback to the previous chapter, in which the magical girl is talking to her puppet master, who is the manager of the office where she works. The puppet master tells her that the manager planted a bug in Hiroshi's bag, and that Hiroshi knows about it. The fairy asks the puppet master if he would mind calling her "fairy" right now, and she tells him that she would like to go watch her fairy friends and eat sweets, but she is afraid that she is not a human and that the bug is a bug planted in her bag. She tells the fairy that she was planning to go to the pond to watch her friends, but that she has a strange vibration mode that makes her tremble like a "smart mascot smart phone" . She asks the fairy if she has gotten a vibration mode, and the fairy replies that she does not know about the bug. She then asks the other fairy if they are doing some strange business card exchange, and they tell her that they are. She says that it is a bit taboo to show a superior's true self to them, and so she tells them that it looks like the manager is behind the bug, but the fairy says that they do not know why he would want to believe the bug to be true, since they have no idea why the manager would want them to believe it. She also tells the other fairies that her brother is missing, and says that he was taken away by the manager.
