About This Chapter
The chapter begins with a description of smallpox, tuberculosis, syphilis, aids, influenza, black death, cholera, malaria, yellow fever, and hemophilia. It then turns to a discussion of universal health insurance, which was purchased by a young man when he was 16 years old. The young man tells the narrator that he and his friends are planning a robbery. The narrator tells the young man to take whatever he wants and not worry about changing the value of the money. He also tells him to ask the credit card company for the password instead of going through the trouble of counting the cash. He then tells the man that he is lucky he did not get into trouble. He tells him that a major robbery has occurred in the city and that the suspect is known as "the child of peace" by the public and the media. The report goes on to say that after the Civil War, the blood-ivores began to drink human blood, and this problem became a hot potato for governments all over the world. The collar is like an id, which updates itself with every second.
