The narrator wakes up in the middle of the night to find himself in a ramen shop. He's not sure what's going on, but he's pretty sure that it's because of the smell of ramen. The narrator tries to explain that he can't make himself any soup or ramen at all, but that's okay, since he has a "sense of shame" . He tries to get the narrator to take a break, but the narrator doesn't want to, so he scribbles something on a piece of paper and then goes off to find someone else to do it for him.
