He tells the student to take a break during the summer vacation and to apply for "supplementary classes" during the vacation. The narrator thanks the student for his kind words and tells him that he has two part-time jobs to support himself. He asks the student if he still likes him, and the student replies that he does, but he does not want to apologize for what he has said.
