About This Chapter
The narrator tells us that he's going to come back to school. He's got a message for his friend, who's just graduated from high school. It turns out that the guy didn't show up because of their promise to meet up. The narrator is all, "Dude, I'm not going to meet you because of your promise, but I am going to see you tomorrow at school" . The guy's not there because of the promise, he says, but because of a neighbor from his childhood. He doesn't know why the guy is bothering him, but he does know that it's because the neighbor is obsessed with math, and he can't figure out how to use it to his advantage. He tells the narrator to thank the math teachers at his school for all the prizes they've given him. It's like "a transforming robot" , the narrator says.
