About This Chapter
The ghost of the ghost postman is waiting for the reply from Doodoo, who has left Hong Kong. The ghost tells Dodoo that he cannot break his curse, but he can still banish him easily. Dodo says that he has been bored lately, and that he wants to teach the ghost better manners so that he will not resist. He says that they will have to eat, as there is no rice. He tells the ghost that they only had fun on the seventh day. He asks if there is any trace left behind of the letters, and the ghost says that maybe he can be a ghostie-postie, and they chuck the letters in with him. He is said to have died in wrath, disappointment, and misery. Since then, the ghost has grown in legend. Some say that he does not look at them in the eyes, others say that some of the recipients of his letters remain alive, and some say that his son took him up after his death.
