After dark, Sam comes out of the darkness to greet the new arrivals. He asks them to pray for good luck on their first day at the top of the new tower. He tells them that it is the seventh day of the lunar month, which means that he believes in ghosts and goblins. Sam tells him that the place has been declared unsafe and that the residents have moved out. He then tells Sam that 10 years ago, a family was killed in an accident. The family pays their respects to the top every year.
