The Volks are in the forest of Yggdrasil, waiting for Ouldfeuille to return. Volks notices that the smell of the forest is coming from a boy in the distance. He asks if the smell is from him, and the boy replies that he smells just as he thought it was. The boy then tells the Volks to get lost. He tells the boy to go back to his mother's house, because the fairies are swarming around the forest. He then asks the boy if he has met the wizard from the borderlands, and he tells him that he has. He says that he will have the wizard lift the curse placed on his mother.
