This chapter opens with a conversation between the boss and his assistant . The boss tells his assistant that he has withdrawn from the competition because he doesn't like the participants. The assistant tells him that he is jealous that the participants are too naive and not beaten up by society. He tells the boss that he thinks that he should teach the participants a lesson, but the boss says that he can just use his power to make the participants do what he wants. The second part of the conversation begins with the boss's assistant explaining that he took a detour to the participants' rehearsal rooms and that he didn't speak to them about anything. He goes on to say that if the competition does not go as planned, the participants will hate him. He says that this is where their dreams come from. The conversation ends with the assistant saying that he needs the boss to do something quietly.
